It’s been a little over two months since Becoming the Reel Deal was released and including these templates is the first of many planned upgrades to the ebook. I also verified they opened in free alternatives such as Google Docs. You can easily modify them as Word documents (.doc, compatible with past versions). They are, after all, just templates - if you find a way to improve them, then do it! These three templates are based on ideas I talk about in Becoming the Reel Deal and, while I believe they are already strong, I encourage you to tweak them to work for you. While later in your career your work will speak for itself, the resume is a necessary document early on. It’s true a resume isn’t everything in the film industry ( ahem - networking), but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its place. They’re designed to get you gigs by showcasing your qualifications and removing unnecessary formatting issues that often cause talented people to get overlooked.īasically, these templates put the focus on you, not the resume.
